I have a love for languages and all things literary. As the author of a children`s book and a published poet and the speaker of three languages I am a qualified and experienced tutor. I have had poems published in anthologies and the People’s Friend magazine and am part of creative writing groups. I run writing workshops and have developed my own online creative writng course. I tutor adult literacies and love to find creative ways of learning that will suit each individual`s specific learning style.

I also work one to one at an after school homework club assisting primary age children with reading, writing and spelling. I tutor teenagers from Europe who come on school trips to Scotland mixing language learning with fun activities and Scottish culture, as well as tutoring Scottish students studying for qualifications within the Scottish Qualification Association. I am also a qualified SQA assessor.

I speak German and offer tutoirig in beginners and intermediate levels for that too. So whether it is for help towards a qualification or just for personal enjoyment, I will be happy to encourage you on your creative journey.

Availability: I am available daytime Mon and Mon and Thurs after school until early evening. During Covid I am tutoring online for the majority but can do face to face in certain circumstances and providing the current Scottish Govt rules allow.

Experience: I am qualified as a SQA assessor, assessing students for core skills, Communication Units for my local authority, where I work part time as a literacy tutor. I am familiar therefore with the standards required by SQA..
