I am the Christopher Welch Scholar in Biological Sciences at the University of Oxford. My area of research is control of animal flight, subject matter that exists at the interface of biology, engineering, physics and maths. I have mastery in each of these areas as such. Combined with a strong interest in pedagogy and knowledge management I therefore offer bespoke tutoring in science and maths.

I abhor rote learning. Students under my wing will develop a true understanding of their subject matter such that they will be able to teach it to others, the acid test of personal understanding.

Availability: Monday to Saturday. Any hour.

Experience: I have a diverse teaching background. Since the age of 14 I have been tutoring. Until 22 this was for a small clientelle base focusing on science, maths and 11+ exams. At the age of 22 I took on a rota of 18 primary school students with a diverse range of abilities helping them in english, maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. I have also taught at the undergraduate level offering tutorials in biomechanics, sensory ecology and behavioural ecology.
