Elizabeth

I am a primary school teacher with over 25 years experience. I tutor all primary subjects and am highly experienced with all aspects of SEND, anxiety and mental health.

Availability: I am available weekday evenings/weekends. I offer online tuition.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I have extensive experience supporting children and young people through both tutoring and my wider teaching career. I have worked with pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, school anxiety and school refusal, and have experience adapting teaching to suit individual learning styles, abilities and needs. My approach is patient, supportive and flexible, with a strong emphasis on building confidence and positive relationships alongside academic progress. I have supported pupils who have found mainstream education challenging and understand the importance of creating a calm, safe and encouraging learning environment. I use personalised activities and carefully differentiated teaching to help pupils engage with learning at their own pace, while maintaining clear expectations and celebrating progress. My experience in schools and as a private tutor has given me a good understanding of the barriers that can prevent children from accessing education and the importance of making learning accessible, meaningful and achievable.
