Hi and thanks for visiting. I`m a 55 year old, fully qualified teacher and private tutor in Maths and French to GCSE, as well as Business Studies to A level. If you’re a young person, a mature student or parent looking to improve your prospects at school, then a private tutor is always a good option. I take pride and care in the lessons I plan for, tailored to the student’s individual needs. I bring enthusiasm, patience and empathy to my teaching as well as touch of humour which is always appreciated when learning Maths. I teach online lessons (or in your own home when the lockdown is over).

I teach in a grammar school, although I have taught at and to all levels. I started my teaching career as a specialist SEND teacher.

I also extensive experience of working in the private sector to Director level. I can therefore bring a wealth of experience and practical knowledge I bring to my teaching. I believe students should understand where mathematical and business concepts are used in the commercial world.

I have many interests outside of my profession. I play the guitar, enjoy DIY, current affairs and reading. I have travelled extensively and lived in France, and I play Pétanque in the summer months to a good level in the New Forest Pétanque League.

Experience: When I left university I became sales and marketing director of a business. At 38 I retrained as teacher and now specialise in Maths, however I can also teacher French and Business Studies to A levels grade.
