Information about Anaïs

I am currently French teacher assistant at King Eward`s school in Bath, finishing in parallel a master degree in comparative literature at the Sorbonne University. I work in one-on-one student support, I also give methodology trainings at La Sorbonne University, and I passed the exam (CAPES) to become French teacher in secondary school.
I am fond of travelling and I’ve always been interested in the United Kingdom since a very long time. I have already lived in London for 6 months, as part of exchange program in Queen Mary University of London, and it made me want to discover more about the British school system and customs. So, I am here for an entire year!
Besides, I am fond of discovering and sharing cultures and knowledges with others. So, I did a lot of different voluntary works for associations, festivals, and organizations! Moreover I always had a passion for Culture, Transmission, Cinema, Music and Craft activities. I love teach what I learned and share information, stories and knowledge because I think it is one of the most important thing in the world.

Availability: I`m available weekdays evening and week-ends.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: As I said before, I am currently French teacher assistant at King Eward`s school in Bath and I passed the exam (CAPES) to become French teacher in secondary school in state schools in France.
I worked in three different schools (college Pierre André Houel, lycée Paul Robert et lycée Olympe de Gouges) in France since 2009 as assistant where I had a lot of different educational missions with children from 11 to 19 to help them to deal with their difficulties, to provide confident and assistance in homework and to upgrade their results.
I worked for many years with Acadomia which is a private tuitions agency and always had the best results as possible with my pupils - from 7 to 18 years old).
Moreover, I had a lot of human experiences as a part of member in many associations which involved young and teenagers. For example, in the past, I have lead and designed workshops and film projects with students, and taken them through a lot of engaging artistic and original activities. I also created a film festival for students and animated youth camps about social organizations and media where at the end the students shot a movie. So more than having a simple teacher training I also have a organizer and moderator training and it makes a huge difference.
I have been working in different fields of education for 8 years and I have developed skills to make students curious, involved and absorbed in French culture. I try my best to use creative skills to develop lively training and exercises that gave students responsibility and confident for learning a foreign language.
My several experiences have enabled me to develop some essential qualities for teachers, such as: patience, communication and a sense of organization.
I am motivated. For me, giving private tuition is working as a part of a team, and I have a creative and resourceful mind, able to solve problems when there is a request. Consequently, I feel certain I can provide the professional and personal qualities a teacher needs to give the best to students. I use plenty of different supports as books, movies, music as much as conversation, grammar exercises.
I always maintain a positive atmosphere between students and I and try to balance both theory and activity-based to help to learn better. I am flexible and receptive to the needs of each pupil, because everyone is different.

I hope that you will be persuaded of my potential to perform well in this role. If you require any further clarifications or information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
