Information about Pragya
I am a very experienced academic lecturer and tutor with a Masters and PhD from top UK University.
Besides being a Senior Academic in top 5 UK Universities for over a decade, I have been a TEDx Speaker, and have been invited to lecture at various Universities in the USA, Australia, Chile and Europe. I have published widely, have been on international conference committees and editorial boards, and a consultant on various European un ion Projects.
I also run workshops in schools on goal-setting and motivation, mental well-being, and sexism.
Before moving to the North-west, I was tutoring GCSE and A-level students in Cheshire, where I had a long waiting list and was in high demand as a tutor. Besides being a tutor, I am a freelance writer and journalist, writing for Forbes, Times Higher Education, Huffington Post, Guardian, Independent, Metro and so on. I am currently writing a science book with Bloomsbury Publishers.
I work with students to not only cover the study material but also establish good study skills and effective work practices as a foundation for success.
I have a particular affinity with students, making science and maths accessible and complex concepts easy to understand. Most of my students have achieved their desired grades and surpassed their own expectations. I believe in inspiring and encouraging my students to aim high, and to set goals, and work hard to achieve them.
