Information about Imogen
Hello!
I`m Imogen, a PhD student at Norwich University of the Arts who loves learning! I thoroughly enjoy researching, reading and writing and am eager to help other students find their feet in humanities subjects through relaxed tutoring sessions where my passion shines through! These sessions are always catered to the individual student`s needs, but I hope to make them fun too, with videos and readings to make them lively and engaging.
I studied English at undergraduate level (and was awarded best performance in my 2nd and 3rd years, as well as best dissertation!) before going to study Fashion Cultures and Histories at Masters level, receiving a Distinction. I studied English Literature, English Language and Philosophy and Ethics at A Level, receiving 3 A*s. At GCSE I achieved 7A*s and 3As. This academic record is a real reflection of both hard work and a genuine passion for learning, which I hope to use to support students from Primary to A Level ages with whatever their need - big or small!
Availability: Mornings, daytimes and evenings, any day of the week.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have not tutored in a formal setting such as this before, but worked as a mentor throughout my GCSEs and A Levels, working with younger students. I have also always been involved in student journalism and acted as editor of the Fashion section of the paper at university, a role which meant I acted as a `team leader` and set tasks, gave feedback and worked closely with younger students.
In a more informal setting, I have also helped my younger brother through his GCSEs, helping him with humanities subjects and boosting his grade from a 4 to a 7.
DBS Check: Yes
