Hi I am a fully qualified classroom teacher with 20 years experience as a tutor specialising in Maths and English. I provide tuition for both primary and secondary students.
I cover the National Curriculum, S.A.Ts and 11+ entrance exams.

I am passionate about teaching. efficient and reliable. My approach to teaching is informal as I feel that it is important that my students feel really comfortable and at ease with me. I quickly build up a good relationships with them. My aim is always to inspire them to engage in the subject, building up their confidence, motivation and ability to excel. I do this through in depth knowledge of the subjects I teach, setting targets that build a sense of achievement, clear explanations and by making each lesson enjoyable with plenty of praise.

Experience: I first qualified as a primary teacher but I have taught in both primary and secondary schools.I have taught a broad range of students from varied backgrounds and abilities. Much of my tutoring work now comes through parent referrals due to my reputation for excellent S.A.Ts results and the number of children I have taught who have gained places at independent schools through scholarships and 11 plus exams.
