Information about Emma
Art tutoring, project support, portfolio preparation. I work with students at all stages.
I am a practicing and exhibiting artist. As a tutor I am dedicated in the nurturing of students creative potential. Though encouragement and tailored teaching I can build students confidence, skills and portfolio. I believe in teaching strong drawing skills as a foundation for all creative pursuits followed by experimenting with a range of materials and media to suit students own artistic expression and style.
Having gained my Masters in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art in 2004, I am experienced teaching students at all levels. I provide engaging classes at Primary level, targeted project support at Secondary level, A-Level support and portfolio preparation though to critical thinking and contextualising of practice at degree level (and everything in-between).
I can offer tailored GCSE support and I work with an independent exam centre, for those candidates who want to gain this qualification separate to a school.
My own art practice is based around drawing, and I have exhibited both nationally and internationally. I have a very broad range of experience across media and disciplines from drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video art, and textiles to graphic design.
Please do get in touch to ask questions and discuss your requirements.

Experience: I have been tutoring for 10+ years. I teach all ages from primary through to degree level.
