I am an experienced tutor in humanities subjects, having graduated with a 1st in English literature from Cambridge University in 2017. My experience as a tutor has been built up over the course of three years at Cambridge and a fourth year after graduating. My strengths are in English, History, Philosophy and the other humanities which I can tutor at KS3, GCSE and A-level. In addition, I have completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Barrister Training Course (BTC).

Over the course of the past ten years, I have worked as a tutor in English, History, Philosophy and the other humanities from KS3 to A-level.

*Teaching English for VEO* 05/03/2014 - 10/05/2014

Working for an NGO based in Vietnam, I taught a class of twelve people, often tutoring individual students outside of working hours, which taught me to further explain points of difficulty to eradicate confusion for these students in a one-to-one context.

* TEFL Academy 120 Hours – Year of completion: 2014 (Merit) *

I have completed this qualification which comprised 20 hours of classroom time and 100 hours of independent work including lesson planning, written and practical assignments for teaching English.

* UK Sport’s Leadership Award – Year of completion: 2012 *

As part of this qualification, I supervised classes of pupils in activities such as climbing and orienteering, explaining skills to individual students when needed.

* Debating Tutor (2013) *

As President of the Debating Society at my former school, I ran a weekly class, teaching less experienced pupils techniques to structure their speeches and articulate their ideas.
