Siobhan

I am a 29 year old, experienced teacher. I training in Trinity College, Carmarthen, achieving a BA in Education. I am passionate about my work and really love my job. Teaching is more than just employment for me. I am from Ireland, living in London for 3 years now. I worked in various teaching roles at home in Ireland before moving here to broaden my horizons and work in different settings.

Availability: I am available Monday, Tuesday after 5.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday after 6.30pm and some weekends upon request.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: For one year, I worked in various schools around my local community teaching all age groups. This was something I really enjoyed as it allowed me observe lots of good practice and teaching styles, helping to shape my own views and way of teaching children. I then found a passion for teaching children the English language. I worked for 3 years in the role of EAL coordinator, working in small group and on a one-to-one basis with children new to speaking English. The lessons were practical and engaging, allowing children gain first hand experiences of hearing and using their new language.

Since moving to London, I have taught Upper Key Stage 2 children: one year with Year 5 and currently in my third year with Year 6 children. I am fully aware and up to date with the demands of SATs and general preparation for children moving to Year 7.
