Information about Amali
I am a Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Sheffield that is going into my final year. Topics covered in my degree include the core molecular mechanisms of biological processes and diseases as well as experimental techniques to observe cell behaviour. I am aiming to achieve a first-class honours degree and then study postgraduate dentistry.
Availability: I am available to tutor Biology to GCSE and A level students throughout the whole of this summer holiday until mid September. As I will not be able to tutor during term time I aim to provide a service that will prepare the tutee for their upcoming academic year so they will feel much more confident with the content. I would be able to achieve this by meeting with the tutee on a weekly basis or more frequently than that if needed. I have very flexible working hours and am able to commute to your home.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I graduated from Dr Challoners High school in 2016 where at GCSE I achieved 8 A*s and 2 As including A* in Biology. At A level I achieved ABB with a B in Biology however my understanding of Biology has improved significantly since then as I am on track to achieving a first-class honours degree. I thoroughly enjoyed tutoring Biology to GCSE students whilst I was in sixth form. I met with them frequently and identified gaps in their knowledge which allowed me to improve their understanding of difficult topics and concepts.
