As an experienced and outstanding primary teacher I am confident with the increasing demands the new national curriculum has placed on our children and how to ensure children acquire a deep understanding from their education rather than rote learning. My philosophy is founded in making your child feel that, with effort, they can achieve anything they put their mind to!

The new curriculum framework for Mathematics is rooted in mastery and it is clear all children are capable of learning anything if that learning is presented in the right way. There are many reasons why this sometimes does not occur in schools differing learning styles, lack of focus, motivation or confidence, emotional issues, or a child may have fallen behind and are finding it difficult to get back to where they want. With tailored 1-2-1 tuition these gaps in their knowledge can be filled.

Experience: I have 7 years experience of leading mathematics across a 3-form entry school. I am particularly passionate about the teaching of mathematics in our primary schools and the need for true understanding of concepts and depth of learning. I am a Mathematics Specialist teacher and I have been certified by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics as a professional development lead to train other schools in the teaching of maths.

Coming from an experienced teaching background, I provide high quality resources, termly assessments and termly progress reports.
