I`m a primary school teacher with over 17 years of experience. I have taught across the primary age range from year one to year 6. I have been graded an outstanding teacher by ofsted and I have direct experience of KS1 and 2 SATS including the new phonics, spelling and grammar tests. I have also tutored pupils for school entrance and the 11 plus examinations very successfully. I have a good relationship with my students and try to make learning fun! I have been working as a tutor for over five years and have several long term pupils. Jill, the mother of one of my pupils, says:
We are absolutely delighted at how much of an improvement our daughter has made in maths not only in her understanding but more importantly her enjoyment of the subject all thanks to weekly tutoring with Nicola. At the end of year 4 it was clear our daughter was struggling with the concepts learned but her school report gave her an (A) for effort. We felt sorry for her as she was trying really hard but it just wasn`t clicking. I was given Nicola`s number and we started tutoring once a week originally for the summer holidays so to go into year 5 up to speed. Well a year later we wouldn`t be without Nicola`s weekly 1-1, our daughter enjoys the session, reviews what she did at school that she couldn`t understand, as well as going over and over all the key concepts which will come up time and again in her coming exams. I would recommend Nicola to anyone who has concerns that their child is falling behind, our daughter is now working at the level the school expects and is very happy.
Availability: I am available during the day Mondays and Tuesdays for home-schooling students, in the evenings and on Saturday mornings.

17 years plus teaching experience across the whole primary age range. Three years successful tutoring experience including preparation for School Entrance Exams and 11 Plus Examinations. I am also currently tutoring online via a programme called Bitpaper at no extra cost to my students.

Nichola is an excellent tutor, she’s really good with children, very friendly and encouraging. She’s been tutoring my 9 year old daughter with her maths and within a matter of a couple of weeks we saw a huge improvement in her work and her confidence in the subject!

Nichola has tutored both of my children (age 5 and 7). She has done a fantastic job and both children have progressed so much thanks to her hard work. When she first tutored them she took the time to understand what they were interested in and incorporated these interests in the learning. I have been amazed at how much better their handwriting has become and this is down to her patience with them and the brilliant way she engages them to make it enjoyable. Thank you Nichola!

Our 8 year old Son really looks forward to his English lessons with Nichola. We are very happy with his improvement after only one month, he is getting higher results in his spelling tests. We would definitely recommend Nichola.
