Information about Emmie
My lessons are specifically tailored to each student, with the aim to boost their confidence, allowing them feel comfortable in tackling their most difficult questions.
I offer:
Summer tutoring where we work through revising material covered in the past year of education and some introductory questions on the material that will be covered in the next academic year.
Weekly lessons during term time for on-going support with homework, and keeping up with school work.
Multiple lessons per week for accelerated progress.
One off lessons to solve specific problems
For each student I also offer on request optional supplementary material, where I put together a selection of personalised questions for them to work on before our next lesson. We then either work through the sheet together in our next lesson, or I send across a PDF of handwritten solutions, explaining how to write a model answer to each of the questions set - whichever suits you best!
If I sound like the tutor for you, please send me a message!

Experience: Hello!
Im an experienced Maths tutor, currently studying at the University of Bristol. I have helped over 50 students grow in confidence, and take great pleasure in seeing them go on to achieve above and beyond the grades they are after.
I have worked with students studying for their:
11 Plus
GCSEs
IGCSEs
A-Levels
1st & 2nd Year Maths Degree through being employed by the University of Bristol.
as well as Mature Students wanting to re-sit exams.
Outside of tutoring, I have received national recognition for my work published in a Schools of Tomorrow/SSAT publication titled:
Shaping our futures developing student-led research as a springboard for school transformation.
The project involved training a small group of students to be able to observe lessons, and provide teachers with constructive feedback. This gave the students the ability to shape their own education and was extremely powerful. Many positive changes to the structure of the school were realised as a result of this project. Ive presented nationally on the topic and really believe that students participation in their own education is invaluable.
