I offer private tuition in English, History, Geography, Politics, Philosophy or Sociology, at KS3, KS4 or A Level.
I am a graduate of the Teach First teacher training program, with a PGCE teaching qualification. I have experience at primary and secondary level, a 1st class degree in History, and an excellent knowledge of the humanities subjects. I have also privately tutored English as a second language.
Evidence from cognitive science underpins my methods and resources for teaching broad and deep knowledge, grammar and punctuation, long-form writing structure and analytical thinking.
All students are capable of making progress - unfortunately many teachers are not familiar with the science underpinning successful teaching. I use proven, effective Direct Instruction teaching methods to achieve significant and measurable improvement for pupils of all levels.
