Information about Tugba

I am a qualified Maths teacher since 2015, with a BSc in Mathematics and over 8 years experience in private schools. Currently, I am teaching in Nottingham which covers GCSE and A-Level Further Maths.

Previous students I have taught, struggled with maths, and didn`t believe in themselves and their ability. With time and patience, I have supported them and inspired them to work hard to achieve their greatest potential before university entrance exams. Some of my former students at school have become doctors and lawyers, and often my relationship with the student`s families endure. Many have kept in touch and some students are like family to me.

My teaching style is about building trust and respect between the student and having fun during the lesson. I have an energetic and engaging personality that brings the best out of the student.

As a qualified maths teacher with seven years of experience in private education, I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction to students of various levels, from GCSE to A level. I am also proficient in teaching A Level Further Maths, a subject that requires advanced mathematical skills and knowledge.
I am passionate about helping my students achieve their academic goals and develop a strong foundation in maths.

My teaching philosophy is based on fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, where students are encouraged to explore, question and apply mathematical concepts. I use a variety of methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities, and I provide regular feedback and support to help students improve their confidence and performance.
I also pay close attention to the individual needs and difficulties of each student, and I tailor my instruction accordingly. I use diagnostic tests, formative assessments and informal observations to identify the gaps and misconceptions in their understanding, and I design remedial activities, interventions and scaffolds to help them overcome their challenges.
I also use positive reinforcement, praise and rewards to motivate them and boost their self-esteem.

When it comes to teaching advanced topics like calculus and trigonometry, I use a combination of theoretical explanations, practical examples and interactive activities to help my students grasp the concepts and apply them to various problems. I start by reviewing the relevant prerequisites, such as algebra, geometry and functions, and then I introduce the main ideas and definitions of calculus and trigonometry, such as limits, derivatives, integrals, radians, angles and identities.
I use visual aids, graphs and animations to illustrate how these concepts work and how they relate to each other. I also use real-life scenarios, such as physics, engineering and economics, to show how calculus and trigonometry can be used to model and solve different situations. I then give my students ample opportunities to practice their skills through exercises, worksheets
I monitor their progress and provide feedback along the way, as well as additional support or challenge as needed.

My goal as a Maths tutor is to empower every student to discover their potential and achieve their academic goals. I understand that maths can be challenging and confusing for many learners, but I also know that with the right guidance and support, anyone can overcome those challenges and enjoy the subject. That`s why I am here to provide you with the tools and strategies you need to succeed in maths.
For example, I can help you with problem-solving skills, exam techniques, revision tips, and more. What are some common mistakes? Well, some students tend to rush through the questions without checking their work, or they forget to apply the correct formulas or rules. I can help you avoid these errors and improve your precision and confidence in maths.

How do I get started?
It`s easy. Just send me a message with your name, grade level, and the topics you need help with. I will get back to you as soon as possible and we can schedule a session. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
