Information about Laura
I am an Early Years Primary Teacher. I have 7 years of experience of teaching in the following year groups: Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
I have an Early Years Primary Education Degree with QTS (2:1) that I studied at Leeds Trinity University.
I also studied at college for 2 years prior to my degree and gained a Childhood and Education Diploma (Grade B).
My main area of expertise is phonics and early reading, I have been a key stage 1 school reading leader and I am very passionate about teaching children to read.
I have a strong knowledge of early number and mathematics, helping children to see patterns in number and making maths fun and enjoyable.
Throughout my teaching experience I have received training from white rose maths, read write inc phonics and early excellence.
I have supported children with a variety of SEN needs, Autism, ADHD, hearing and sight difficulties.
Availability: Monday to Friday: 5.30pm - 8.30pm
Weekends: 9am - 8.30pm
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I am experienced in teaching phonics and early mathematics.
I have knowledge and understanding of children’s development in the Early years. I have experience of preparing children for phonics screening tests in Year 1 and Key Stage 1 SATS.
