I am a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and I hold Chartered Teacher Status. I have an MEd (Distinction) and a degree in English Literature (2:1 - Hons) both from Russell Group universities. I am also completing a BSc in Psychology, with one module left to finish. I have specialisms in working with students with EAL and additional needs, including additional qualifications in supporting the learning of those with dyslexia and ASD.

Experience: I have been a full-time teacher of English since 2010 - I have held various positions of responsibility during this time including Head of Department, Literacy Co-ordinator and access arrangements co-ordinator. I was in the English state education system from 2010 to 2021, when I moved to the private system in Scotland (teaching the English qualifications). I also have experience of teaching SQA English Nat5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
I have tutoring experience over my career, with my students regularly making at least 1 or 2 grades of progress between the December / January mocks and the final exams.
