I am an enthusiastic, caring, non-judgmental patient tutor, who has a passion for Shakespeare and writing. I have an upper second class degree from Reading University and at teaching degree (PGCE) from the Institute of Education, University of London. I have extensive tutoring experience teaching children from age 5+ and adults who want to improve their English. Nearly all my students have improved by at least one grade after my help.

Availability: Weekday Evenings from 7.30pm

Experience: I have 2 years classroom experience, one year as a teaching assistant and the second completing a PGCE in secondary English. After my PGCE I decided to work as a private tutor and have been doing this for six years. I have taught many GCSE students and have taken on between 2-4 GCSE students every academic year - each student has improved by at least one grade after my help, last year my two GCSE students each achieved an A and A*. I have also taken on 11+ students and many have received offers from grammar schools after my tutoring and were turned down previously. In recent years I have tutored foreign students/ those who have lived abroad who want to improve/gain an English accent: students include a German, Brazilian, Slovakian and a New Yorker (who I taught over Skype).
