For the past seven years, I have been a secondary school teacher. Having taught not only science but most recently English literature and language to GCSE level, I am skilled at explaining difficult concepts, checking understanding and motivating students.

Often in schools, writing is not explicitly taught; however, this is a mistake which disadvantages students. In our lessons, I will explicitly teach how to write academically using sophisticated vocabulary, helping your child to hone their writing skills and securing their progress in both English literature and language.

My interest in education and learning predates my career as a teacher; whilst at Kings` College London, I volunteered with primary school children helping them to improve their literacy skills on a weekly basis, taught RSE at multiple secondary schools and worked as a tutor.

Availability: I am available on weekdays from 4-7.

Experience: 2022-2025: taught KS3 and GCSE English literature and language to students of diverse backgrounds in London.

2018-2022: taught KS3 and GCSE biology, physics and chemistry to students of all abilities including students with special educational needs.

2018-2020: achieved a post-graduate diploma in education at the University of Manchester whilst teaching full-time in Blackpool.
