Information about Paul
I have worked as a postdoctoral research scientist for most of my working life, working at several universities including Sheffield, Warwick, Reading and Imperial College. I am currently working as a full time science tutor.
I would describe myself as a patient, friendly and enthusiastic science tutor.
Availability: I am currently available weekdays (anytime) and have some availability at weekends.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have been a part-time, and on occasion full time personal tutor for 3 years, teaching Chemistry and Biology to GCSE and A level, and also Physics to GCSE level. I have supervised and taught undergraduate and postgraduate students and I also have experience of teaching all three sciences to GCSE level in a secondary school and A-level Biology and Chemistry in a sixth form college. In terms of examination boards, I have experience in teaching students studying with the Edexcel, OCR and AQA exam boards.
I have a degree and PhD in Biochemistry gained at the University of Birmingham and a masters in bioinformatics received from Birkbeck college (University of London). In terms of teaching qualifications, I have a PGCE FE obtained from Southampton University. I also have an Enhanced DBS certificate.

We have been using Paul`s services for a couple of months and are very happy with the Biology and Chemistry tuition he is providing for our son.

Paul is doing a great job helping my daughter with her A level Chemistry.
He explains the topics in detail and once she has an understanding of each topic they do exam style practice questions. This method of teaching is being very useful and is giving my daughter more confidence in the subject.
Paul is very reliable and punctual.
