Information about Mary
I am a patient and creative tutor based in Chester. I hold a BA degree in English Literature with Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, and am currently undertaking a Masters in History.
I have had creative writing and articles featured in several publications, and specialise in close reading and analysis of texts. As I understand that every student is different, I cater each tutoring session according to the learner`s goals, needs and abilities. I also recognise that busting anxiety and raising confidence is often key to students fulfilling their potential.
I aim to reply to requests within 24 hours.
Availability: Weekends, weekday evenings with the exception of Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I previously worked at Kumon Learning in Norwich during my degree, specialising in higher level English. I currently work as a freelance tutor, teaching pupils Literacy, English Language and English Literature from KS1 to A-Level.
