Currently studying BSc Hons Pure & Applied Chemistry at Strathclyde University, I have always had a passion for learning, and I enjoy nothing more than sharing this passion with others and inspiring their learning.

I have a strong background in STEM, in particular Chemistry and Physics, but can also tutor in English as my degree requires a high level of literacy.

I like to teach with a more relaxed approach, as students often feel enough pressure at school and it`s important to show them that learning can be fun. I want to show them that its okay to make mistakes and encourage them to engage even when they doubt themselves, forming the basis of a positive approach to learning that will last a lifetime.

Experience: Currently studying BSc Hons Pure & Applied Chemistry at Strathclyde University which encompassses a wide range of subjects, not just physical, organic, inorganic and forensic chemistry, but also advanced physics including quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and particle physics. Both at the end of 1st and 2nd year I was awarded a certificate of lab excellence for my outstanding average mark across all my practical laboratory classes, and I have just passed all my 3rd year classes with Merit.

Experience tutoring my younger brother; being from a single-parent family I am often responsible for helping with his homework and at home learning. I have also tutored my younger cousin and helped him bring his marks back up in physics.

Having been part of the first year of students to sit the National 4/5 curriculum in Scotland, I am very familiar with the curriculum and what is expected of students not just in their final exams but throughout the academic year.
