Experienced economics and maths tutor | UCL Economics BSc / KCL MSc graduate | 100% pass rate | 90% A*-A pass rate | previous examiner. For the past 10 years I have been tutoring with great feedback from my students (please see reviews below). I am extremely passionate about the academic success of my tutees, seeing education as a pathway to unlock multiple doors.
On 2025 results day I had 3 students achieve A* in Economics and get into Oxbridge or Medicine, 4 As (all jumped up by minimum 2 grades). Feedback from these students can be seen below (Named Folake, Haimin, Pooja). Updated 15/08/2025.
I’ve completed A-Levels achieving A*AA. At GCSE, I obtained 9A*s and 3As. I have also worked in a secondary school teaching GCSE & A Level Mathematics and Economics. I am up-to-date with the new specification. In the past, I have helped my students with their personal statements and university applications.

From the very first session, it was clear that Amam is not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and supportive. Amam has an amazing ability to break down complex topics into simple, easy to understand steps, which has made a huge difference in my daughters confidence and understanding of maths. The lessons are always well structured and tailored to specific needs, focusing on areas where she needed the most help. Amam provided plenty of practice questions and exam style problems, which were invaluable in preparing my daughter for the real GCSE exams. Feedback for Anam from her student. Anam has really been supportive so far. I have learnt what the examiners are on the lookout for and have better understanding of how to answer exam questions. I also learnt how to write from another point of view which I have been learning to implement into my writing now. She has been good in going over the content in my answers and has also tried to get the best out of me. I like her teaching technique as she challenges me to think and come up with the answers myself.
