Hello! I am a qualified Primary School Teacher currently teaching in Year 5, with experience teaching mathematics across the primary curriculum.
I am passionate about helping children build confidence in maths and develop a strong understanding of key concepts such as number, place value, multiplication and division, fractions, and problem solving. I understand that many children can find maths challenging, so I focus on explaining ideas in a clear, simple, and engaging way.
As a classroom teacher, I am very familiar with the KS1 and KS2 maths curriculum and the expectations for each year group. I tailor my lessons to each child’s ability, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their problem-solving skills, and feel more confident in their maths learning.
My aim is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills step by step.

Experience: I am currently working as a Year 5 Primary School Teacher where I teach mathematics as part of the national curriculum. I regularly plan and deliver maths lessons covering key topics such as place value, arithmetic, fractions, multiplication and division, reasoning, and problem solving.
Through my teaching experience, I have supported pupils with different learning abilities and helped them improve their understanding and confidence in maths. I use a variety of teaching strategies, practical methods, and step-by-step explanations to help pupils grasp mathematical concepts.
My classroom experience allows me to understand common difficulties children face in maths and support them in overcoming these challenges effectively.
