Information about Jensen

I`m a master`s in Medical Ethics and Law graduate from King`s College London with 3 years of experience in tutoring, specialising in Politics, Philosophy and Law. I initially studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Warwick and although I loved my bachelor`s, I realised that the law was the best way I could make a positive impact on the world, hence the pivot. My current aspiration is to become a common law barrister, of which medical law is a component.

I love learning, studying and teaching - tutoring is a hobby of mine - and I hope I can instil some of that passion in you (if you haven`t got it already)! Fact of the day: someone who loves learning and studying is called a philomath!

My biggest advice for those studying/revising for exams is to start as early as possible. Cramming is incredibly stressful and exams don`t need to be! There`s no better feeling than going into a test feeling as prepared as possible and confident in answering everything to the best of your ability.

Outside of university and tutoring, I`m an avid reader, chess enthusiast, and rock climber. I was also the bass player and backing vocalist for a successful indie rock band in Birmingham during my undergraduate degree. Finally, and important for politics and law students, I have a passion for current affairs! I consume much of my political & legal content through podcasts, which I listen to as I go about my day.

I look forward to working with you, getting your grade where you want it to be and having interesting discussion about subjects which are genuinely interesting.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Jensen.

Availability: As a full-time student I am very flexible so we can find a time and a date that suits you. This includes reorganising sessions last minute on having sessions in the evening.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I started tutoring in December 2022 so I`ve been tutoring for nearly 3 years now. For the first year I taught Mathematics, though my students are now exclusively in Politics, Philosophy and Law which are my passions and most knowledgable areas.

In my 3 years I have developed a distinct tutoring style. I pride myself on getting to know my students, making our sessions enjoyable but also on delivering grade improvements. I`ve tutored students from U-A* and understand that different levels of understanding require different techniques.
