I believe teaching should not be taken to imply a ‘top down’ or formal way of working. It is a broad term which covers the many different ways in which adults help young children learn.

The nature of my work has prepared me as a KS1 and KS2 tutor. My lesson plans will be based around the child’s individual needs and academic level. I will motivate my pupils learning abilities, by developing and using visual aids and teaching resources. A key part of my career has been to help children reach their potential, which I work towards by focusing on positive learning outcomes.

I have a BA (Hons) Degree in childhood Studies. My degree enabled me to understand holistic development, education and experiences of children and young adults. This lead me to believe that the key to education and knowledge is learning and knowledge is power. The earlier we educate our children the better prospects’ they have in life.

I believe that a strong parent and teacher/tutor partnership is critical to the success of my pupils. As a tutor I will not only teach and help your child strive academically but support you as a parent/carer by providing help and advise on ways to support your child`s learning and development at home too.

Experience: I have 13 years experience in promoting, supporting education, care and development in the early years. I have worked my last 8 years careers as part of a senior management team of a 100 place nursery which was rated ‘OUTSTANDING` by Ofsted. This demonstrates my competence and expertise in being able to deliver the curriculum, teaching and learning requirement to support children.
