I graduated from The University of Liverpool with a first class degree in English in 2014 and am now based in Walthamstow, after training to become an actor at Drama Studio London. I am an enthusiastic, motivated person with a passion for English Literature and Drama. I will provide an encouraging, supportive and constructive environment for learning, in a positive and fun manner.I specialise in Shakespeare, Victorian literature, Modernism and close reading.
I offer a free consultation session in order to evaluate the level of the student and offer a bespoke tutoring approach, which aims to provide confidence-building, as well as equipping students with the essential skills they need for exams or coursework.
Availability: Currently good flexibility for online sessions. Let me know what your requirements are, and I should be able to accommodate.
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: I have taught students ranging from ages 7-18, tutoring in English 11+, GCSE and A-Level, as well as English as a foreign language for the past 5 years.
As of 2017, I also work full time as an SEN Teaching Assistant and Supply Teacher.

Iona was a tutor to my daughter in English for two years. In that time she took her to gcse and got someone who didn`t particularly like English to enjoy the subject where she almost felt she could fo a level. I can`t rate Iona high enough. She is enthusiastic and establishes a great rapport. She was always on time and reliable and willing to be flexible when needed. She helped with setting papers and marking all with great patience and empathy. She us an asset to anyone needing help with English.
