A degree qualified chemist (PhD BSc Hons 1st), I have 20 years` experience in the chemical and life sciences industry.

I offer a motivational, supportive and encouraging tutoring style. Whether a student needs help with a specific topic, e.g. calculations, bonding and structure, or a whole-course review, I am dedicated to helping every student achieve their individual goals. My goal is to take out the fear that some students have of chemistry and replace it with understanding, appreciation and enjoyment.

All levels of SQA chemistry courses covered, i.e. N3-5, Higher, Advanced Higher.

20 years` experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing and life sciences industry. I have several years experience as a lab-based practical analytical and organic synthetic chemist. Having managed teams of scientists for many years, part of my role was as mentor and coach to junior chemists.

I have helped secondary high students achieve their target passes with Int2 and Higher chemistry, including a crash Higher student.
