Mallika

My name is Mallika. I will be studying English Literature in the Autumn at the University of St Andrews. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, which is why I’m currently focusing on tutoring students who may need my help. I can teach up to KS4 English (only Literature for GCSE students), and up to KS3 Mathematics. My grades throughout school have been consistently high, and at the moment, I am on my gap year. I am volunteering at a elderly care home, as well as tutoring students in order to save up some money for university, but also because I have a great time teaching.

Availability: Any time between 10am to 6pm on weekdays. I am mostly available on weekends too, but please discuss timings with me first.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I completed my work experience at a school where I taught children with special needs how to read and write in English. Last year, I also took a trip to India where I taught poverty-stricken individuals basic English speaking and reading skills. I worked at a tuition centre for over a year but had to leave due to my A Level exams. I now prefer teaching one to one as I find it more effective.
