James is a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced tutor in acting, drama, elocution, English and French, based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. James has always had a love for languages, having partially grown up in the South West of France and going on to train for four years in theatre, screen and radio acting at Drama Centre London and Italia Conti Academy in London. Outside of his professional acting and voice over career, James tutors privately and runs Big Bold Youth, a Community Interest Company providing affordable and accessible drama activities for young people across the UK. He has an Enhanced DBS check, is trained in child protection and first aid.

James tailors each lesson depending on a student’s personal learning style and specific needs. Whatever level of experience, James enjoys helping student`s reach their potential and likes them to walk away after each lesson with a feeling of accomplishment. Before a student`s first lesson, James likes to find out a little bit about their experience, their aims and goals which allow him to create a personalised plan for their initial session. He can also provide reports for parents every quarter with regards to student’s progress.


PAYMENT

◾;;;;;James uses his own booking system for clients in order to provide his most up-to-date session availability. When booking a new session, clients have the option to pay via debit/credit card or by bank transfer. James also offers 10% for pre-paid block bookings of 10 or more sessions.

ONLINE SESSIONS

◾;;;;;James also offers online sessions for students who are too far away to visit and offers 10% off for this format.

Experience: James has had a passion for teaching for over 7 years, starting at the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre in Guildford, where he taught as an Assistant Leader. He went on to set up his own youth theatre in Dorking for fellow students at his school. On graduating, James set up Big Bold Youth, with the aim of creating platform for young people to enjoy drama that is both affordable and accessible. Since then, they have run various workshops across the country, and now run two performing art schools in Surrey and Buckinghamshire. James began teaching privately in 2016 and in the last 2 years, has taught over 40 regular students elocution, acting, communication and English.
