I am a passionate Italian/Sociology teacher and writer.
I am an Integrative humanistic counsellor and mindfulness facilitator, I organise sessions on menopause and menopause in workplace, anxiety and stress.
I define myself as a Sociologist tout court. I find it fascinating how everything around us is related to Sociology and can be analysed, explained and resolved.
I like to observe social processes and write about them. During my career as a researcher I have authored several pieces of work in Italian, English and Spanish, including a book and academic research papers on gender studies.
I like sport and outdoor activities, swimming in particular, I am ASA L2 swimming teacher.I provide 1:1 lesson, covering the multi-system approach in water for autistic children (N16 and E5).

I am a passionate sociology teacher with over eight years experience teaching university, further education and vocational courses to adults.
I have strong experience as an A level and GCSE Italian teacher: all my students achieved A and A* grades. I am very familiar with Edexcel and AQA syllabuses (guidelines).
As EAL specialist support, I taught English and phonics for six years, to those who were learning English as an additional language. My pupils made excellent progress in speaking English, due in no small part to the differentiated lessons I developed to support their range of needs.
I have provided SEN support and taught children with learning disabilities. I have taught children with, dyslexia, autism&Asperger, ADHD, visual impairment.
Passionate about all aspects of teaching, I am dedicated, motivated, versatile and self-disciplined. I am also a counsellor and researcher. I have been trained on helping students to manage emotions, attachment, trauma and relationships including peers and media; understanding depression and low mood; ASD and ADHD in classroom (zone of regulation and social stories). To reinforce my knowledge on mental health and wellbeing, I attended a L2 course in Awareness of Mental Health Problems at Harlow College. I also attended a Safeguarding and child protection CPD at One education.
I am aware of the national curriculum as it applies to primary and secondary schools. I will work with you to ensure I provide teaching tailored to you and your style of learning.
