Information about Mark
I have over 30 years’ experience as a Physics teacher at an OFSTED-Outstanding co-ed Grammar School. I am recently retired from my role as a Deputy Headteacher and Physics teacher and I now split my working life between Physics tuition online and my work as a woodcarver selling sculptures on ETSY (“WoodturningfromMark”).
I am married with two grown-up children and 4 dogs.
Availability: I am currently taking bookings from students who will be sitting their GCSE and A level Physics in Summer 2026

Experience: Over 30 years’ experience of teaching Physics at GCSE and A level in a popular and successful state school.
I can also teach the Mechanics sections of Maths and Further Maths A level.
Most of my current online students are attending top schools in UK, but I also teach A level Physics students from across the world including from Madrid, Brussels, Istanbul, Karachi, Genoa, Valencia, Tokyo and Kazakhstan.
I have also home-schooled a student to Physics A level online, and for the last 2 years I have taught a Y13 Physics class online for a school in London that was unable to appoint a face-to-face Physics teacher.

Mark is an amazing tutor. He works at your speed, allows you to work it through and help if you get stuck. He has an in depth knowledge of the specification and is extremely knowledge able of all the topic. He will adapt to your style of working and will guide you along the way. If your looking for an A-Level Physics tutor to help improve your grade I would definitely recommend Mark.

Mark has been nothing short of incredible: his calm approach, great listening, and most importantly never ending and perfect knowledge of physics made every second of my son’s lessons with him worth it.
