Dan has been an excellent tutor for A level Maths throughout my year 12 and 13 and has helped me to achieve an A grade. He carefully and thoroughly planned my lessons to ensure we were able to complete all of the harder topics well in advance, as well as leaving plenty of time to go through exam papers. Dan sets plenty of practice questions and exam papers weekly for homework which allowed me to practise a variety of questions on all topics, this increased my confidence in Maths right from the beginning of the course. He is very passionate about Maths and has a very good knowledge of the syllabus as he takes the A level exams himself, so he is able to point out any common tricky questions and topics that come up in the exam. He is very committed and puts in a lot of effort into the lessons and is always available to go through any exam questions or schoolwork outside of the lesson time as well. During exam period, Dan would always message and check in on how my revision was going and was always ready to go through any difficult questions over the phone. Dan has enabled me to become much more confident in Maths which will be useful for me as I go on to study at my first choice university and beyond. I would without doubt recommend Dan to anyone looking for a tutor for A Level Maths.

Dan is a fantastic tutor with excellent subject knowledge at A level. He is very committed to ensuring he gets the best out of his students , providing they are also ready to work hard and he motivates them to succeed. Dan is dedicated to supporting students both in and out of lessons. We are thankful for the work he did with our child and especially for his unwavering support in the build up to exams. I highly recommend Dan for his passion and commitment.

Dan is a wonderfully passionate and kind teacher. From the very start of his lessons he insists on hard work and good self discipline (i.e. complete your HW!) but is always there to offer words of encouragement and motivation, and is genuinely invested in your wellbeing and progress, which can too often be lacking in a tutor. He also incredibly understanding of both your need to juggle 2 or 3 other subjects, university applications and other responsibilities, and as long as you prove yourself to be hard working and eager to learn, he will always be accommodating of your personal circumstances and try to tailor your lessons to you as an individual. He is eager for you to always ask questions, (in your homework, in the lesson, even on the end of the phone before a school exam!) and creates an environment in his lessons where you don`t feel judged to ask even the simplest of questions, something that I personally found completely transformed my understanding and confidence in Maths, in comparison to my teaching at school. I went from averaging at D/E grade in my school assessments to being an A/A* student and am now going on to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University. I will forever be grateful to Dan, not just for the help he gave me in Maths, but also the confidence he instilled in me in my own ability to learn and excel academically, and for being a genuinely kind tutor and friend.
