I am an enthusiastic results-focused English language teacher. For three and a half years I lived in Madrid, and taught in a private academy which had a great local reputation. I loved living in Spain. I made lots of friends and visited lots of beautiful places. I am now living in Hove with my boyfriend while he studies medicine. I enjoy running and often jog along the seafront and I love hiking the South Downs is a perfect stomping ground! I play the flute and piano, although I don`t have as much time as I`d like to practice nowadays. Another hobby I love is patchwork. I`ve made a few quilts as gifts for a few of my friends and have lots of projects I am yet to finish!

I have always had a great professional relationship with my students and have always enjoyed a friendly rapport - something I feel is vital between a language student and teacher.

In teaching private lessons I have always had excellent feedback, been recommended to friends, and produced excellent progression and results. Your first lesson with me will be half-price and will include an informal chat, grammar level test, and a short writing task in order for me to understand your objectives, your level and your expectations. From there we can agree on an arrangement for further lessons.

Availability: I am available at any time during the week until 8pm in the evening. And on an individual basis I could do lessons on Saturday morning.

Experience: I have taught general English with full classes, small groups, and one-to-lessons with ages from eight to adult. I am experienced in elementary levels to advanced.

I have lots of experience in teaching the Cambridge First Certificate and CAE exams, in fact, I really enjoy teaching them. The different papers and tasks in the exam provide a clear structure and I find it a satisfying process teaching exam technique alongside the required vocabulary and grammar for the exams. If you are interested in tuition for these exams, I can offer you a level test with honest feedback, a realistic time-scale and I will be a demanding but extremely supportive teacher. While I was teaching at the academy in Spain I know that my pass rate for these exams was above average for the school.

I have taught Business English classes in students` place of work focusing on statistics analysis, presentation skills, and debate and negotiation skills.
