I am a qualified chemistry teacher with over 7 years experience teaching As/A level chemistry for AQA and OCR for two of the countries top 10 colleges, both rated Ofsted outstanding. In addition I have 4 years experience as an examiner for OCR. In terms of my qualifications, I have a Masters qualification from The University of Manchester (MCHEM) with a specialism in organic chemistry and a PGCE from the same institution. I have also worked as a synthetic chemist for glaksosmoithkline (gsk) as part of my industrial placement at University. Please note I only tutor A level, as such I am extremely specialised in this area. I have an in depth knowledge of the syllabus including excellent exam technique skills. My lessons can involve workbooks which are available electronically at the students request. I have high expectations of my students and go above and beyond to ensure success. Regular testing and homework are the backbone to my tutoring. I like to ensure all students have a clear understanding of their progress and what is required of them to move forward. Nearer exam time we focus on past papers (which I mark at no extra cost). I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and have built great relationships with my students and parents alike and look forward to meeting you. I am also able to provide assistance with UCAS personal statements for Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and the Sciences.
