Primary education with QTS
Information about Paul
I am a Nottingham based primary teacher who currently works as a schools inspector in the East Midlands. I am a qualified headteacher who during their time in charge of primary schools has achieved TES English Team of the year in 2018 and World Class Schools Status through our Ofsted `Outstanding` school status.
I also work as a primary schools consultant and support schools and teachers to achieve the very best standards for every child whatever their background.
I am a very creative and forward thinking practitioner who personalises learning for each and every child.
I believe in allowing children to enhance their learning through experiences, understanding the gaps in children`s knowledge and tailoring learning to the child to allow them to embed long term knowledge and enable them to achieve their life goals.
Availability: At present both in daytimes and evenings.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I qualified as a teacher in 1998 at Manchester Metropolitan University where I achieved a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS. Since then I have challenged myself to be ambitious and deepen my understanding of the education landscape. This has led to me achieving NPQH (National Professional Qualification in Headteachership) in September 2005 and a PQSI (Professional Qualification for School Inspection) at Liverpool Hope University in March 2014.
I have been a teacher for over 20 years and have extensive experience of working in Early Years right through to the end of KS2 during this time. In this time I have been fortunate enough to gain knowledge and experience of education in five different primary schools in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire which enabled me to become an exemplary classroom teacher and leader which has been acknowledged by Ofsted, Challenge Partners, peer reviews but most importantly by the children that I have taught. In May 2019 I was offered the chance to work at Glenbrook Primary Academy and worked with classes from Early Years to Year 6 as well as supporting the senior leadership team. I felt it was important for me to ensure my teaching pedagogy and experience was enhanced during my time there.
