I`ve always had a passion for teaching and mentoring. Before my PhD in Quantitative and Biophysical Biology, I proudly graduated with a First-Class honours degree in Physics with Theoretical Physics from the University of Manchester, where I had the privilege to learn from many top professors. During my PhD, I enjoyed teaching undergraduate students to grasp even the trickiest of topics in maths and programming.

I have had the privilege of instructing numerous students in one-to-one sessions. I tailor my teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student, often focusing on solving problems together to understand their individual needs. My students have experienced marked improvements in their academic performance, with many achieving grades at or above 5/6 at GCSE or C/B at A-Level.

At university, I ran the society MANSEDS (Manchester Students for the Exploration and Development of Space). From building robotic lunar rovers to launching rockets and high-altitude balloons, these experiences have given me a blend of practical know-how to complement my academic insights.
Over the last 7 years, I`ve tutored many students, helping them pass and improve their A-Levels, GCSEs, and other equivalent courses. I believe everyone learns in their own unique way, so I always strive to find the best approach that suits everyone. For me, problem-solving and engaging discussions are key to understanding a topic.

I tutor both online and in-person. I can travel within a 30-minute drive, but further distances can be negotiated.

Experience: One to one tutoring experience having tutored dozens of students in mathematics and physics over 6 years. All of my past students have been successful in either achieving their intended grade or surpassing it. This included both struggling students and those wishing to achieve top grades.

I worked as a teaching assistant during my PhD at the University of Manchester. I delivered weekly mathematics tutorial sessions to 12 undergraduate students, in which I worked through problem sheets and questions they had about there course. I also worked as a demonstrator for a programming course in Python, aiding the students with any issues with their code and answering any questions they had.

I have helped to run workshops as part of an academic society at the University of Manchester focused on space related activities. I ran a workshop teaching people how to simulate rockets as well as helping out with multiple sessions on programming.

Physics PASS (Peer Assisted Study Scheme) leader: Lead weekly group sessions for first year physics students at university where I helped with any issues they had on problem sheets as well as general advice about studying at university.

Science Peer Mentor at A-Level: Tutored lower sixth form students with homework and any questions they had on their course.
