My history is below:

Qualified English Teacher with years of tutoring experience.
I have the taught the new GCSE (9-1) for English under the AQA spec but am able to access information for other exam boards.
Able to help with basic literacy skills such as handwriting exercises and speaking and listening skills.
Also able to help at college and university level - happy to proof read essays and check understanding.
Able to assist in Drama and Media related subjects.

Availability: I am available after 6 on weekdays and at any point over the weekend.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: Fully qualified teacher of Secondary English. Two years of classroom and GCSE curriculum experience.

Supported a range of abilities with their literacy skills; from gifted and talented to those with additional requirement for the classroom. Total amounted experience of five years across a range of different jobs.

One term as an examiner for AQA under the GCSE English Language paper.

Aside from English, I have worked with a wide range of people (from Early Years to Young Adults) in building their confidence within a variety of subjects. With experience in Drama, Creative Writing, and the ability to support in written work for many subjects, many of my students have felt that they were given the correct tools to succeed.

Experience also in working with adults, particularly when supporting with written work.

General enthusiast of the creative arts as well, for those who wish for an unbiased, critical opinion of their work.
