I’m a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with QTS and have thorough subject and exam knowledge. I have a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Sunderland University. I have a few years of teaching experience both at classroom level and 1-2-1 tutoring. I’m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students.

I have a huge passion for teaching and find it most rewarding to see children progress and excel under my guidance.

I have a track record of success and delivering results through private tutoring and at classroom level. I have significant, long-term experience at levels from KS3, GCSE & A-LEVEL. I have enabled students to maximise their outcomes at all of these assessment levels. 

I want all students to have the opportunity to achieve and I have professionally developed to be better placed to deliver high quality education to all children under my guidance.

The sessions I run are specifically designed for each individual student. This considers the level they are currently working at, target grade, their areas for development and preferred learning style.

I am flexible, hardworking and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with students and parents to explore their best way of learning. I have taught all different year groups with mixed ability students and believe understanding students’ individuality is the key to challenge and stretch the most able students, as well as supporting those students who need guidance and support to overcome any leaning barriers.

Experience: Currently teaching in a secondary school full time as a maths specialist teacher. I have experience of teaching across year 7 to year 13.
I successfully taught students who were struggling to achieve their target grades and I am experienced in teaching the national curriculum (including exam boards like AQA, Edexcel and OCR) and will carefully cater lesson plans to my students individual learning style and abilities.
Maths has always been my life passion and before teaching I used to work in the finance sector, where I helped people make better decisions with their money.
