Information about Kameel
I am currently in my second year studying Maths at QMUL (Queen Mary University of London). In college I studied Maths and the three sciences - Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry - and achieved grades AAAB respectively. I have also achieved grade A*`s in Maths and the three sciences in my GCSEs.
I have been tutoring for over two years now and have amassed over 1000 hours worth of tutoring on a 1-2-1 basis as well as in small groups of similar levels and so by doing so, I have been able to develop different methods of helping students understand difficult concepts and as a result, gain the best possible grades.
Availability: Currently available during the weekends from 10am until 8pm
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have tutored the new specification (9-1 specification) for GCSE maths (AQA/Edexcel exam boards), GCSE combined science (AQA/Edexcel exam boards) and GCSE triple science (AQA exam board). I`m also starting with A level Maths this year (Edexcel/AQA/MEI). If I haven`t mentioned an exam board that you`re doing, do get in touch as the exam boards are very similar and I`ll most probably be able to help.
My approach is somewhat different as what I`ve seen from tutoring 1-2-1 or tutoring in centre`s is that, for some reason, there`s an emphasis on trying to memorise the content rather than understand it, so what I`ve seen is that students end up getting confused when questions they wouldn`t have seen come up despite it being based on content they would already know; because of this, I`ve made my own notes, which I`ve personally seen students use and gone from not knowing anything to gaining top grades the end of year 11 (over a period of around 8 months) and actually understanding the content ... whilst still having some fun, gotta admit :D
