Luz Angela

Hola! I am Luz Angela. I am a talented linguist, born in Colombia, I am a Spanish native speaker with a basic level in French and English as independent user. I have been a teacher for 24 years. My teaching experience in Spanish contributes to create a positive learning environment. I am passionate about learning. I love when my students get `engaged` and communicate their ideas. I like helping them to learn and not to be afraid of making mistakes. I select and use different methods and procedures according to the personal needs.

During the first class I usually carry out a diagnostic test in order to identify my students’ particular strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, progress tests will be done to determine how well the learner is doing with the material and activities in general. We will also have achievement tests at the end of a particular topic or unit to determine how well s/he has mastered the skills and knowledge presented. The assessment is based on the objective of the class.

I use both established published materials and those that I have created myself over the years. My regular students have the opportunity to text me between lessons with specific queries and ask for any help related to school homework during the classes.
