Information about Albert
My name is Albert and I`m a first-year undergraduate mathematics student at the University of Reading. I specialise in teaching mathematics; more precisely, GCSE level maths.
I`ve been passionate about maths for as long as I can remember, and I decided to utilise this by becoming a private tutor during my first year of sixth form. Since then, I have taught five students ranging from Year 10-11.
I have experience teaching the Edexcel and AQA specifications, however I`m not adverse to others.
Please note that my qualifications mentioned are only the relevant ones - I`m willing to provide a CV if required which lists all qualifications gained/qualifications I`m in the process of gaining.
Availability: Due to being a full-time student in Reading, I can only guarantee Summer tuition back at home during the Summer months from June to September. I will be trialling an intensive tuition scheme across the Summer months of 2019 with students that are interested. My aim is to equip them with all the resources they require to revise efficiently throughout term-time when I`m not available in-person. I can, however, provide regular e-mail updates as well as sessions when I`m back for Christmas/Easter. It will require full cooperation between myself and the student, but I believe it can be a really successful way of tutoring.
As far as times go, I am flexible. It will be a case of understanding the student`s ideal times for lessons and basing it on that.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: As previously mentioned, I have taught five students during my time as a tutor. Each of their abilities ranged, with some being more competent at algebra and others having less difficulty solving numerical problems. I have had completely positive feedback with my style of teaching, but I believe I am ever-improving as I learn new techniques which work for the student in question.
