Information about Sarah
Teaching young people is a true passion of mine and I love seeing children happy whilst learning and making excellent progress! I have worked with children and young people for almost ten years and I am in my fifth year of teaching primary. I quickly build a strong rapport with children and take great pride in seeing children grow with confidence and make leaps and bounds of progress over time. I take a creative approach to teaching and learning and enjoy making sessions as fun as possible whilst teaching to the required curriculum.
Availability: I am free to tutor some weekday evenings and potentially some weekends.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and have been teaching for 5 years. I graduated from my undergraduate degree from the University of Sheffield with first class honours in Education, Culture and Childhood Studies and won an award for my dissertation about child wellbeing and mental health. I then completed my PGCE at the UCL Institute of Education. I specialise in KS1 and have taught both year 1 and 2, I have taught the year 2 SATS so have a clear understanding of the curriculum and the end of key stage requirements. I have also taught and administered the national year 1 phonics screening. I am also fully qualified to teach KS2 and Early Years.
