I now offer online tuition via Zoom. I am an enthusiastic, highly experienced English teacher who has helped many students achieve excellent exam results. My practice is very much about planning lessons to meet individual student needs and using a range of teaching strategies. Furthermore, my excellent subject knowledge and patient, encouraging manner ensures that learning is fun and challenging. Having tutored for a number of years I have become adept in preparing and motivating students to realise their potential.

Availability: I am available weekdays and evenings (9 am - 9 pm).

Experience: I have 27 years` experience of teaching English at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School (Outstanding Ofsted 2016). I have taught Key Stage 3, GCSE Language and Literature (including AQA and WJEC specifications) and A Level. Also, I have considerable experience (and resources) in tutoring primary school students for entrance exams (English, Verbal Reasoning and Maths) and SATs exams. I work as an AQA GCSE English examiner - which has given me an insight into approaches to ensure success. Also, I have experience of teaching students with special needs.
