Information about Jordan
I am an enthusiastic young professional looking to engage students success in languages through a fun and comfortable environment, and ultimately to share my passion for the French language.
I offer support to GCSE and A Level students looking for help with all aspects of their language learning: cultural themes; grammar development/sentence structuring; acquiring vocabulary; listening/reading comprehension and I am willing to provide guidance on conversational speaking and understanding. For A Level students in particular, I offer assistance with essay structuring for the film/literary side of the course.
As a British undergraduate student, I am reading French and Linguistics at a Russel Group university. I am bilingual/biliterate in French, having lived and been educated in France throughout many childhood years, achieving a neo-native level in a French institution in Normandy. I am passionate about the grammatical and cultural aspects of French two necessary polar opposites of learning languages!
I achieved French GCSE (grade A*) aged 12; AS and A Level French (both grade A) aged 16. Having completed GCSE and A Level German and GCSE Spanish to equivalent high levels from scratch, I understand the demanding nature of studying a foreign language. I am personally accustomed to the exam board Pearson Edexcel but I am familiar with the AQA outline for both levels.
From personal experience, I know that speaking and learning languages are daunting at times and I aim to provide a comfortable atmosphere with a view to boosting students own abilities and thus develop their confidence. I conduct lessons in English or French, depending on the students preference, or indeed a mixture of both, when required.
Availability: Currently, I am available online only.
My tutoring hours are as follows: Monday to Friday throughout the day and after school hours until 7pm and Saturday 4pm-7pm.

Please check my availability, get in touch and we can discuss how I can help with your specific requirements. Many thanks, Jordan

Experience: With over a years experience working as an educational assistant in a vibrant tutoring centre, I am used to working in a professional teaching environment and adapting my approach to suit the learning and needs of each student. We are all individuals and as such, learn through individual means.
Prior to this, I voluntarily tutored with tutoring GCSE students for French on the 9-1 grading system, underpinning their development of grammar and sentence structuring; helping their exam preparation in listening/reading comprehension but most importantly working alongside them to find their own method of learning vocabulary and verb conjugations.
A Level French: I sat the new syllabus (2016 onwards) through self-study and I am fully aware of the nature of this course. I studied the book LEtranger by Albert Camus, with the film Les Choristes directed by Christophe Barratier, so I am equipped to help any students looking for support in these particular works; but I am equally happy to assist students with general French essay writing, as I achieved high grades in this field of the exam.
