Information about Juliet
Hello! My name is Juliet and I teach Maths at any level up to A-Level, including 11+ preparation. I am currently teaching online due to Covid-19, and I offer either one-to-one or group sessions, depending on your preference. For primary school and KS3 level maths, I have a series of lesson plans which cover all the topics needed, although I will begin by assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the student and adjust lesson plans accordingly. I put a lot of emphasis on making the lessons interesting and not too stressful for the child, as I feel this is the ideal way to learn.
For GCSE and A-level maths, I can either cover everything or focus on the areas which need the most improvement, depending on what would work best for the student.
Availability: I will be starting up regular teaching on the week beginning Monday September 6th, although I will be able to fit in a trial lesson before that for those who want one. I currently have availability from Monday afternoon to Thursday evening.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been working as a personal tutor continuously since 2018, and I have tutored a range of subjects including: KS2 and KS3 English, Science and Maths; 11+ Maths; GCSE Science and Maths; A level Maths; and beginner piano.
I have recently graduated from the Open University with a First-Class Honours BSc in Mathematics. I studied my GCSEs and A Levels at Nonsuch High School for Girls, and did A Levels in Maths (A*), Chemistry (A*), Biology (A), and Music (A), AS Levels in Further Maths (A) and Philosophy and Ethics (A), and an EPQ entitled "Increased sugar consumption is having a detrimental impact on our health; discuss." (A*).
At Nonsuch I also obtained the Maths Prize (prize for obtaining the highest score in my year group for my A Level Maths exams), a silver award in the Chemistry Olympiad (and the highest score in my year group), and was a semi-finalist in the UK Space Design Competition.
DBS Check: Yes

Great work. She is very patient with my son and he now loves maths as he has seen himself gain confidence from the tutoring. His tutor is very relatable and a delight to work with.
