I am an engaging, passionate and creative Primary School teacher who has been teaching for five years. I have a particular breadth of knowledge in teaching Key Stage 2 Maths and English, and a strong commitment to making progress with students. I have a particular passion for English and am responsible for challenging confident students in this area, as well as supporting English as an Additional Language student in making accelerated progress here. I am looking to tutor since I know that some children just require that additional support or extra boost to reach their full potential.

Availability: I am available across selected weekday evenings and during the weekend.

Experience: I am currently in my fourth year teaching at a large primary school in Central London. I am particularly familiar with the curriculum within Years 3-6 and currently have two middle leadership roles at my school (including English as an Additional Language leader), which has enabled me to expand upon strategies to help children who struggle with English. However, I also really enjoy pushing more confident students to achieve their potential in Maths and English; I have previously led the Mayor of London`s Primary Maths Challenge within my school. This is a scheme which teaches confident Mathematicians different strategies using more abstract Mathematical approaches and numerical challenges. In terms of tuition, I have previously worked extensively within a Saturday School environment, planning resources for additional Maths and English lessons. I have also previously worked for a Maths tuition charity, designing their soft start activities and proof-reading their assessments and mark schemes.
