A Level and GCSE English, KS2 SATs maths and english, 11+ and 13+ preparation.
I have worked in a variety of schools-selective grammar, independent and comprehensive. I have taught successfully at primary and secondary level. My career included working as Head of 6th form at a selective grammar school and assistant headteacher.I have been tutoring for 3 years after relocating from Yorkshire to St Albans. I have successfully tutored students in GCSE English and Maths where they have achieved grade 6 and above, KS2 SATs, 11+ and 13+. Students I have worked with have been offered places at Stowe, St Albans Boys, Haberdashers Girls, St Columbas, St Albans High School for Girls, Parmiters, Haileybury and Berkhampstead.
Availability: 7 days per week. I have availability at weekends at the moment and on Fridays. Some spaces available during the day for home schooled students. More evening availability from early June once the GCSE examinations in English finish.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: 25 years teaching finishing as Assistant Headteacher. 3 years tutoring. Examiner for KS2 English SATs, GCSE English and A Level Classical Civilisation and General Studies. In addition have experience of students with special educational needs, home schooled students and adult learners.
